Our mission
Victoria Maori Wardens Incorporated is a not-for-profit, ACNC-registered charity. Since 2012, our mission has been to support the safety, wellbeing and cultural connection of communities across Victoria. Our volunteer wardens provide community engagement and traffic support at events, compassionate service and welfare at community gatherings, and relationship-building workshops that grow cultural understanding and leadership.
Our Mission
Manaakitanga in action — care, respect and support for all
Rooted in the values of the Māori Warden tradition, we walk alongside our community to keep events safe, build cultural understanding, and offer a helping hand to those doing it tough. Our members give their time freely to serve the wider Victorian community, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Māori and Pasifika families, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Victoria Maori Wardens Incorporated is a small, volunteer-led charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). We report to the regulator each year, and our community work is overseen by a volunteer management committee — no part of our income provides private benefit to any individual.
